With time an object will inevitably change as it reacts to its surrounding environment. I have taken this stone slab from nature and fashioned it into a pedestal. With the stone that has been discarded from the broken section, I have made another, smaller pedestal and placed it on top of the original. The discarded stone from the smaller pedestal remains somewhere, in some form or another.
